HUNTING SEASON OPENERS!

The beginning of a limit. Doves can be hunted in 41 states. Mourning doves are prolific and their populations respond well to annual hunting pressure around the first of September.

By the first weekend in September the hunting season is coming at you fast and hard! The fully engaged sportsman is now faced with opening day of doves,resident geese, teal and deer all within a few days of one another. What is a sportsman to do? I don't know if I have the answers other than pick what you love the most and do it!

For those who have been watching Carolina ALL OUT through the years, knows that we are dedicated to inspiring folks to get outdoors and experience our hunting and fishing opportunities for themselves. This week we hope we can get you fired up because we've got Doves and Bucks on the roster!

We are back in Martin County on the Refuge at Cherry Island chipping away at a limit with my son Hayden and family friend Kolby Chesson! My shooting is a little rusty but hanging in there as the boys are dropping birds for their limits! It's a good time as usual! We love seeing those flocks of 4 and 5 entering the "Ring Of Death". Some make it out, some don't!

In the second half of the show, We switch gears and hook up with the Lawler Boys. Everyone knows our producer Joshua Lawler a.k.a. "Ole Josh" and his dad Kevin are hardcore hunters and Kevin has some white oaks on his property that have started producing and deer from all around have keyed in on this food source. Two of those deer are nice bucks! Kevin and Josh do quite a bit of self filming and in fact do self filming seminars under our banner during the Dixie Deer Classic! (Make plans to attend in March 2026!) Kevin goes through the effort of setting his gear up for this hunt and ends up take a beautiful 9 point with his bow! Hats off for taking a mature with archery gear but even more remarkable is to capture it all on film! Congrats Kevin!
